As the second wave of Covid-19 pandemic is bringing the healthcare system to its knees, Odisha Public Health Director, Niranjan Mishra said the situation is stable in the State. The Health Director on Monday stated that the number of cases has declined slightly and the daily cases are plateauing between 10,000 and 12,000 cases. Mishra emphasized on Covid appropriate-behavior as recommended by the government to break the chain of transmission. He further stressed on increasing surveillance in rural areas to ensure door-to-door testing of people with fever and other symptoms.
