The R-Value, which measures the number of infections from one positive person, is less than 1 in Odisha as the transmission is in a declining stage. This information was shared by the Directorate of Medical Education and Training (DMET) Chief, CBK Mohanty on Monday (August 2).
Mohanty stated that even though it is difficult to determine the exact R-value in the state, the value is definitely lower than 1. He stated that while some other states in the country recorded R-Value of more than 1, the same is not the case in Odisha.
