Robotic Arm
This is Saswat Mishra, a Class 10 student of DAV School, Chandrasekharpur in Bhubaneswar.
This genius kid has designed a robotic arm for a young divyang girl named Kiran Behera. Saswat Mishra designed a robotic arm with the help of a high-tech 3D printer and gifted it to Kiran. According to Saswat, he invested Rs 50,000 – Rs 60,000 for assembling a 3D printer machine.
For designing this robotic arm, Saswat worked hard to understand the biomechanical features of a human hand. After this, he used special modelling techniques to create this hand model.
Meanwhile, Kiran expressed her gratitude to Saswat for providing her this robotic arm that assists her in picking up small objects easily all by herself.
It may be difficult for any individual to understand the value of their fully functioning arm, but the disadvantage of an amputee arm is only understood when experienced oneself. Saswat Mishra has not only empathised with this disadvantage of Kiran but has also used his hobby of innovating electronic models to provide Kiran a gift for life.
