The ‘Heart of Asia’ Afghanistan is undergoing a severe humanitarian crisis like never before, something which might have serious consequences on the international politics. The world witnessed the sufferings of women, children and almost all and sundry in the country.

Situation in Afghanistan turned from bad to worse after the Taliban captured the country following intense clashes with the Afghan security forces. Recently, responding to queries on the crisis, India’s Union minister of state for External Affairs Meenakshi Lekhi said that India wishes for global peace and wants every country to peacefully move ahead.

But did you know the Bhaijaan of Bollywood Salman Khan has a special connection with Afghanistan? Yes, Salman Khan is basically Afghani and belongs to an Afghan heritage.

As per reports, Bhaijaan’s ancestors were Alakozai Pashtuns which is a part of the Yusufzai tribe. His ancestors migrated from Afghanistan to Indore and settled there, and the same thing is also mentioned in his biography. Salman was brought up following both Muslim and Hindu customs and traditions.

Salim Saab had married Sushila Charak (Salma Khan) who is actually a Dogra Rajput. Salman’s father Salim Khan who is a renowned screenwriter in Bollywood had once at an event corroborated about their special connection with Afghanistan.

According to Salim Saab, their family hails from Afghanistan and he said his great-grandfather Anwar Khan came from Afghanistan and settled in Bhopal. Salim Saab’s father and Salman’s grandfather Abdul Rashid Khan was reportedly the third generation settled in India and was Deputy IG of Indore.
