The Odisha government on Monday (July 5) informed that 129 cases of Black Fungus infection or 'mucormycosis' have been detected in the state so far. As of now, the deadly infection has claimed the lives of 18 persons in Odisha. Twelve people have recuperated from the disease.

As per sources, 21 cases each have been reported from Ganjam and Khordha districts while 8 cases were reported from Balasore.
