As many as 16 Lakh people are due to receive their second dose of Covid-19 vaccine in different districts of Odisha.

This information was shared by Odisha Family Welfare Director, Bijay Panigrahi on Friday (August 27). Panigrahi stated that concerned officials have already been instructed to vaccinate the people due for their second dose on a priority basis.

Speaking about the preparedness for the possible third wave, Panigrahi said that the guidelines by the centre have already been sent to all District Collectors and the arrangements are underway accordingly. Panigrahi also informed that the training of all paediatricians, medical officers and staff nurses for the third wave is also complete.
