After a long hiatus, schools across Odisha are going to reopen for Class 10th, 12th students for physical classes from Monday (July 26). A day before the reopening, School and Mass Education Minister Samir Ranjan Dash provided details regarding the arrangements made for smooth functioning of schools as per SOPs.

Samir Dash said that sanitisation of classrooms is already done and Principals have sought consent from parents/guardians with regard to sending their wards to school. Most importantly, the minister said that in case parents are hesitant to send their wards to school, they can continue attending classes in online mode.

Ahead of the reopening, sanitisation work is underway in full swing at the schools. As per reports, arrangements for isolation rooms and drinking water have also been made at schools.

Apart from this, appropriate sitting arrangements have been made in the classrooms for maintaining social distancing. Classes will be conducted from 10 am till 1:30 pm.
