Currently a judge on the singing reality show 'Sa Re Ga Ma Pa', singer-composer Vishal Dadlani had never revealed the real reason why he had not returned to his previous show 'Indian Idol 12'.

After taking a break in June, Vishal did not return to the show and was instead replaced by Anu Malik. As per reports, after Covid-19 restrictions were re-imposed in Mumbai, Vishal had taken a break and stayed with his parents in Lonavala.

However, Vishal opted out when the shooting base was shifted to Daman. Then later, after the crew was back to Mumbai for the shoot, Vishal stayed as a part of the audience to cheer for the contestants.

Now after months, Vishal has revealed the true reason, why he will not return to Indian Idol as a judge. In an interview with a leading daily, (Times of India), Vishal stated that the show's makers had to get a replacement since he was away for a few months.

Vishal stated that "the show established a certain pattern and it was not economically feasible" to bring him back on the show. Furthermore, Vishal emphasized that he is "expensive as a judge" and so it would not have worked out to bring him back again.

Speaking about judging his current show 'Sa Re Ga Ma Pa 2021' on Zee Television, Vishal said that he can be out anywhere and would find a way to be happy irrespective of whether he is judging a show or not.

However, Vishal had never stopped cheering for the contestants in his previous show and had even mentioned on his Instagram stories that he was "proud to have been part of the Greatest Season ever!"
