The undisputed comedy king of television Kapil Sharma who has made audience and guests giggle and laugh out loud with his witty jokes and antics, has reportedly landed into legal trouble.

As per reports, a Madhya Pradesh-based lawyer, named Suresh Dhakad, has filed an FIR against 'The Kapil Sharma Show' at the district court of Shivpuri in Madhya Pradesh.

In the FIR, the lawyer alleged that the show's makers disrespected the court by showcasing actors drinking alcohol in a courtroom scene in one of the episodes.

The complaint stated that the concerned episode aired first in January 2020 and was repeat telecast this year in the month of April.

Speaking about his complaint, Dhakad stated that the show being aired on Sony TV is "sloppy" and the show's makers make "lewd comments on women".

"In one of the episodes, a court was set up on the stage and the actors were seen drinking alcohol in public. This is contempt of court. That’s why I have demanded registration of FIR against the culprits. Such display of sloppiness should be stopped," the lawyer said.

Dhakad also asserted that the scene should have "featured a statutory warning, which it did not.”

Reports said that the case has been registered against the show’s anchor Kapil Sharma and Sony TV Director under the IT Act and Excise Act. Even though reports say that the case will be heard on October 1st, 2021, Kapil Sharma is yet to react to these allegations levelled against him.
