The fame of ‘Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah’ is spread far and wide. Be it the popular character of Jethalal played by Dilip Joshi or Dayaben's dialogue delivery or the iconic Gokuldham society, when it comes to this Sab TV sitcom, it seems there are fans in every nook and corner of the world.
And this latest incident is proof that TMKOC fans are omnipresent! Recently, when Spanish chess journalist David Llada shared a meme of the popular TMKOC character Jethalal Gada, he got a taste of how popular the show is, and how that single post got him over 300 followers on Twitter.
So on November 21, the Chess journalist tweeted an Instagram post by Armenian chess player Levon Aronian, who had shared a meme on his own Instagram account. In the post, Aronian had juxtaposed himself with Jethalal Gada wearing a colourful shirt with fancy prints which the character is known for. Aronian captioned it with how his girlfriend liked to make memes when he would be busy playing his chess games.
Llada then quoted the tweet and said that ‘Jethalal did it better’ to mean that Jethalal carried off the fancy shirt better than Aronian. The moment Llada reposted the picture with that caption, his follower count on Twitter jumped by 300 and is still counting. This just goes on to prove that Jethalal and his family members are true legends in their own way.
