Earlier this month, Tollywood star couple Samantha and Naga Chaitanya announced their separation on their respective social media accounts. All SamChay fans have been left heartbroken.

The news has also left their followers speculating various reasons behind their unfortunate split. Not just fans, recent reports reveal that after hearing this news, Samantha’s father Joseph Ruth Prabhu was left devastated.

As per reports shared by a news portal (India.com), reacting to the divorce, Joseph said that his ‘mind has gone blank’ ever since he learned of the separation of his daughter and son-in-law. Joseph said he had hoped that the situation between the couple would get better soon.

He however revealed that even though the decision shocked him, he was convinced that his daughter had thought through her decision.

Samantha and Naga Chaitanya had met each other on the sets of 'Ye Maaya Chesave' in 2009 and started dating in 2014. The couple tied the nuptial knot in 2017 and their marriage lasted for four years before they decided to part ways this year.
