One of the most loved actors in Telugu film industry, young rebel star Prabhas recently signed a pan-India project with director Sandeep Reddy Vanga. The Baahubali star and director Sandeep Reddy announced that they are teaming up for a film titled 'Spirit'.
But, there are reports that Prabhas was not the first choice of the filmmaker. The director had initially approached south superstars Ram Charan, Mahesh Babu, and Allu Arjun for the lead role of Spirit. For reason unknown, all the three superstars said no to the offer.
Later Prabhas gave green signal to the film. According to an entertainment portal (Koimoi), director Sandeep first approached Ram Charan for Spirit. But, the RRR star rejected the offer without revealing the reasons. After that, the script was also sent to Mahesh Babu and Allu Arjun, who also declined the offer.
However, when the filmmaker finally approached actor Prabhas, he received a green signal from the superstar. And that’s how Prabhas came onboard to join the team of 'Spirit'. This will also be the 25th film of the Baahubali actor. It is to be noted that Sandeep Reddy is the one who had directed Arjun Reddy.
Currently, the director is busy helming the Hindi film, Animal, which will feature Bollywood actor Ranbir Kapoor. Prabhas, on the other hand, has been working on multiple projects in a row including Radhe Shyam, Adipurush, Salaar and others.
