It seems as if Instagram has become the social platform of choice when it comes to Bollywood celebrities or cricketers and their relationship announcements. On November 5, after the league match against Scotland in the ongoing T20 World Cup, India's star opener KL Rahul posted a picture with actress Athiya Shetty, wishing her on her birthday with a sweet caption.
Rahul captioned it - Happy birthday my heart (heart emoji) @athiyashetty.” But what caught attention of the fans was the fact that through the adorable post, the cricketer officially announced his relationship with Athiya even though they have been secretly dating each other for a couple of years now.
Rahul hit the fastest 50 of the tournament on Friday, in what was termed by his fans as his birthday gift to Athiya. Meanwhile, another very famous B-Town jodi had made their relationship Insta official this very week. Actors Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt have been rumored to be in a relationship for a while now.
But on Diwali eve, Alia took to Instagram to post a bunch of photos from the festivities. Then she shared a picture of herself hugging Ranbir with both of them smiling ear-to-ear. Taking the thread from her last pictures’ caption, she wrote, "& some love .. Happy Diwali".
Fans were overjoyed after the ‘Kalank’ actress posted the picture with Ranbir as they had never explicitly made their relationship official, even though Alia had been spotted with Ranbir multiple times at various family events. As per buzz in the national media, Alia and Ranbir will most likely tie the knot in December this year.
