When one of the most loved couple of Tollywood - Samantha Ruth Prabhu and Naga Chaitanya announced their separation on October 2 this year, many of their fans were left heartbroken.
But did you know that Samantha was not Chay’s first choice to get married? Yes, you heard that right!
Before dating Samantha, Naga Chaitanya had his eyes set on another South Indian actress who also like Naga comes from a filmy family. And that actress is none other than Kamal Haasan’s daughter Shruti Haasan. If reports are to be believed, the now ex-duo was all set to tie the knot as well.
As per reports, Naga and Shruti had met each other back in 2013 and were just friends. However, with time, they grew close and had even reached the point of marrying each other. But, unfortunately for the couple, an incident led to their relationship to turn sour. It is said that Naga had accompanied Shruti and her younger sister Akshara Haasan to an award show.
During the show, the ‘Luck’ actress was informed that she had her performance immediately without any delay. The actress asked the ‘Majili’ actor to take care of her baby sister until she returns. However due to some time constraints, Naga left the venue leaving Akshara alone! It is stated that this alleged callous attitude led to a rift between the couple in no time.
On the work front, Naga is all set to star in his upcoming movie ‘Bangarraju’, whereas Shruti Haasan was recently seen in Telugu action film 'Krack' alongside Ravi Teja.
