Bollywood actress Sunny Leone found herself in soup following release of her music video ‘Madhuban Mein Radhika’. Madhya Pradesh Home Minister Narottam Mishra issued a 72-hour ultimatum to Sunny Leone and makers of music video, warned saying “Legal action will be taken against Sunny and makers if they don’t pull it down from all social media platforms.”

Apologise or face action, the Minister also threatened to lodge an FIR against Sunny and composer Saqib Toshi.

Priests in Mathura slammed the makers for “hurting Hindu sentiments” due to “sensual” dance moves shown in the video. They demanded a ban on the video, and accused the Bollywood actress of hurting their religious sentiments by performing an “obscene” dance on the iconic song. “We will go to court if government does not act against Sunny and ban her video album,” said Vrindaban priest, adding that Sunny shouldn’t be allowed to stay in India if she doesn’t withdraw the scene and tenders public apology.

Following the outrage, Saregama issued a statement mentioning “In light of the recent feedback and respecting the sentiments of our fellow countrymen, we will be changing the lyrics and the name of the song Madhuban. The new song will replace the old one across all platforms over the next 3 days.”

Saregama Music had released the music video on its YouTube channel on December 22. The number ‘Madhuban Mein Radhika Naache’ is sung by Kanika Kapoor and Arindam Chakraborty.
