Days after Samantha Ruth Prabhu and Naga Chaitanya announced their separation, several speculations had cropped up wherein people were blaming Sam's stylist and close friend Preetham Jhukalker for the same.
Following the rumours, Preetham Jukalkar allegedly received death threats online from the supporters of Sam's estranged husband Naga Chaitanya. Jukalkar was being targeted by some of Chaitanya's fans for being 'too close' to Samantha ever since the talk about the impending separation gained momentum.
However, Preetham has rubbished all such reports. During an interview with a news portal (India Today), Preetham said that Samantha is like his sister and he calls her jiji. "Everybody knows that I call Samantha as ‘Jiji’ which is a north Indian term for sister. How can there possibly be a link-up between us?" a disturbed Preetham expressed.
Preetham also broke his silence over Naga Chaitanya and said that Naga could've spoken up and told people not to comment like that about Sam and him.
Preetham said, "Even if he (Naga) had issued one statement, it would have made a lot of difference. Right now, it’s these so-called fans who are making these statements and spreading false rumours. I think a statement from Chaitanya’s side would’ve helped keep these people in check."
Nevertheless, Preetham has made it clear that he will stand up for himself and his friend Samantha and not let haters get them down.
