On the occasion of Mental Health Day, Odisha Public Health Director Niranjan Mishra threw light on a crucial phenomenon the state is battling with over the past one and half year. The top health official informed that the number of mentally-ill patients has increased during the Covid-19 pandemic.

Stating that the stress level among normal people has risen, Mishra informed mobile mental health units have been set up across all districts to mitigate the problems and help such patients. Commenting on the upcoming festive season, Mishra said the next three months will be crucial and people have to exercise caution during this period.
