There are less chances of Covid-19 infection proliferating during the winter season, chief of DMET (Directorate of Medical Education and Training), CBK Mohanty said this on Monday (Oct 4). The top health official stated that since people prefer to stay indoors during the winter season, there is less likelihood of transmission taking place during the colder months.

Since the chances of catching a cold is also higher during winters, the official said people would prefer staying indoors during the winter evenings, which would eventually help in decreasing crowding and in turn the chances of transmission.
