As per the guidelines, no more than 50 people were allowed in a congregation, while masks and social distancing guidelines were followed strictly.

After nine long months, Akhandalamani Temple in Aradi of Bhadrak reopens for darshan. In the first phase, family members of servitors will be allowed to have darshan. On December 30 and December 31st, devotees from the local panchayat will be allowed to have darshan. Keeping in mind the rush expected on January 1st and January 2nd, the temple will remain closed. From January 3rd the general public will be allowed to have darshan. Sanitizers and masks have been made mandatory for entry into temple. According to the district administration, the identity proof of servitors has also been made mandatory for darshan.
Darshan at Lingaraj Temple in Bhubaneswar is underway as it reopened yesterday after nine long months. In the first phase, family members of servitors are being allowed to have darshan. Till December 31st, only family members of the servitors will be allowed to have darshan. Extensive arrangements have been made for hassle-free darshan at the temple. Barricades have been installed in front of the entrance of the temple and identity proofs of devotees are being checked before entry.
Senior Odisha Congress Legislature Party (CLP) leader Narasingha Mishra fell unconscious during a rally in Bhubaneswar today. The senior leader was immediately rushed to a private hospital. Mishra complained of chest pain soon after delivering a speech during a rally in front of the CBI Office.
As many as 62 travelers, who returned to Odisha from the United Kingdom (UK) recently, are untraceable. Odisha Public Health Director, Niranjan Mishra said on Monday that in total 181 travelers returned to the State between November 30th and December 20th .Out of these 119 persons underwent COVID-19 test in different phases and six of them tested positive for Coronavirus.
The Golden Beach at Puri was formally accorded the prestigious ‘Blue Flag’ tag on Monday. This was done with the unfurling of the Blue Flag and the Tricolour on the beach.
