But soon the Police intervened and stopped the couple, who were later taken into custody. Saudamini said that they have been forced to attempt self-immolation as they are yet to get justice for their daughter, Pari. The couple said that the accused who murdered their daughter is yet to be arrested.

In fact, Sarpanch Saumya Ranjan Pradhan, has confirmed that one of the voices in the recorded telephonic conversation belongs to him. However, he has declined to go on record and confirm this on camera. The other voice is of Minister Arun Sahoo. Saumya Ranjan confirmed further that he had spoken to minister Arun Sahoo, yesterday evening.
