The undergraduate (UG) and post graduate (PG) degree final year or final semester examinations will be conducted through online mode in Odisha. In a major announcement, State Higher Education Minister Arun Kumar Sahoo on Friday informed that the final year or final semester examination of UG and PG students will be conducted via online mode by July/August this year.

In a major announcement, Odisha Higher Education Minister Arun Sahoo has confirmed that the Under-graduate and Post-Graduate (UG & PG) exams will be held in Odisha this year. Following a high-level meeting, the minister on Friday said that the exams will be held in online mode. While the exams will most likely be held in July or August, Universities and the Autonomous Colleges will decide the exam dates and the appropriate methodology. Students can appear the examinations from home, and those who do not have access to technology can appear in nearest degree college, the minister said.

On May 20, as many as 21 cobra eggs were found in Delanga Block in Puri. The locals had contacted the snake helpline members, who recovered the eggs from the spot. The Snake Helpline members arranged for artificial hatching of the eggs. Out of the total, 20 eggs hatched while one.The snake helpline members then released the 20 cobra hatchlings into Chandaka forest area.

The Board apprised the Supreme Court that the marks will be decided on the basis of the performance in Class 10th, Class 11th and Class 12th.
