ASO Recruitment: High Court Puts Stay On ASO Selection Process By OPSC

The Orissa High Court on Wednesday put a stay on the selection process of the Assistant Section Officer (ASO) being undertaken by the Odisha Public Service Commission (OPSC).The court has put on hold the selection process of the recruitment drive while scheduling the next hearing on September 21.Earlier, a contempt case was filed as the Commission had not complied with the May 19 directive which had asked the commission to publish a fresh merit list.On August 4, the High Court had directed the commission to complete the selection process for the ASO recruitment at the earliest. The court had further directed OPSC to complete the entire process within six weeks.
