Elephant Deaths: Odisha Govt Suspends Sambalpur Forest Ranger

The State government has placed Sambalpur Sadar Forest Ranger, Gouri Shankar Dash, under suspension for negligence in protection of elephants during his tenure. Sources said his dereliction of duty was the main cause behind the deaths of as many as 6 jumbos in the district.
