AI influencer goes viral with copied shayari, fools 28 million people in a single day!

A poetic performance that captivated millions on Instagram has turned into a startling lesson on the power and deception of artificial intelligence. A video featuring a woman in a yellow kurta reciting a sharp Urdu couplet amassed a staggering 28 million views in a single day, with viewers praising her delivery and debating pronunciation in the comments. But there was a twist: the woman does not exist.

In the now-viral clip, the woman introduces herself as Tanvi Joshi and delivers a pointed couplet: “Khaandani raees rakhte hain mijaaz naram apna… tumhara lehja bata raha hai ki tumhari daulat nayi nayi hai.” The verse, loosely translated as a remark on old money carrying grace while new wealth reveals itself through tone, struck a chord with audiences.

Her Instagram profile describes her as a “Punjabi girl,” and viewers flooded the post with admiration. Few questioned the oddly flawless skin or the subtle shifts in voice across videos.

The Truth Behind the Voice

It was later revealed that Tanvi Joshi is an AI-generated persona. More strikingly, even the shayari was not original. The audio had been taken from a video posted six days earlier by Marziya Shanu Pathan, a corporator from Thane, who had performed the same couplet at an event.

While Pathan’s original video drew under nine lakh views, the AI version exploded online. Pathan herself commented, “Aye thats my voiceeeeeee,” alerting many to the reality behind the viral clip.

The episode highlights how convincingly AI can replicate faces and voices, raising pressing concerns about consent, ownership and authenticity in the digital age.
