Odisha Fights Coronavirus
Villagers in Odisha are leading the fight against COVID-19, be it properly implementing social distancing or following the lockdown guidelines and this is a great message, said Deoranjan Kumar Singh, State Panchayati Raj Secretary. He also mentioned that 6939 temporary medical centres in 6795 gram panchayats with provision of 162142 beds are ready. “We’ve dedicated nodal officer at each GP level for temporary medical centres. And financial assistance of Rs 10 lakh per Community Health Centre (CHC) and Rs 5 lakh per primary Health Centre (PHC) has been provided for basic amenities,” Singh said.
