New Delhi: A few months after the Nokia 5 2GB RAM model was launched  in India, the company under the umbrella of HMD Global has now come up with new 3GB RAM variant.

While the original Nokia 5 model with 2GB of RAM was priced at Rs 12,499, the 3GB variant will be available in India at Rs 13,499.

The smartphone will be available exclusively on Flipkart for a week from November 7. The online retailer is currently listing a Jio-Nokia Additional Data offer on the smartphone, offering 5GB extra 4G data on every recharge of Rs 309 and above, limited to 10 recharges till August 31, 2018.

After this online exclusivity period,  the Nokia 5 will become available at select retail outlets across the country from on November 14. The variant will be stocked in matte black and tempered blue colour.

Specifications

The Nokia 5 3GB RAM variant is identical to the original 2GB RAM model. To refresh on the Nokia 5 specifications, the dual-SIM (Nano) smartphone runs Android 7.1.1 Nougat out-of-the-box with a promised upgrade to Android Oreo. It sports a 5.2-inch HD (720x1280 pixels) IPS LCD display with 2.5D curved Corning Gorilla Glass protection. It is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 SoC coupled with 3GB of LPDDR3 RAM.

The Nokia 5 bears a 13-megapixel rear camera with PDAF, an f/2.0 aperture, and dual-tone flash. On the front, it has an 8-megapixel autofocus camera with an f/2.0 aperture and an 84-degree field-of-view. It comes with 16GB of inbuilt storage that is expandable via microSD card (up to 128GB).

Connectivity options on the Nokia 5 include 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Bluetooth v4.1, FM radio with RDS, GPS/ A-GPS, Micro-USB with OTG, and a 3.5mm audio jack. Sensors on board include accelerometer, ambient light sensor, digital compass, gyroscope, and proximity sensor. It is powered by a 3000mAh battery that's non-removable, and measures 149.7x72.5x8.05 excluding the camera bump - which takes it up to 8.55mm.
