An intense western disturbance is very likely to affect Northwest India from the night of December 26 onwards, informed the India Meteorological Department (IMD).
As per IMD, an induced cyclonic circulation very likely to form over southwest Rajasthan neighbourhood on December 27, under its influence.
Moreover, these systems are likely to interact with lower levels easterlies leading to high moisture feeding from Arabian Sea as well as Bay of Bengal till December 28.

Under the influence of these systems, isolated to scattered rainfall/snowfall is likely over Western Himalayan Region during 26th-28th December with peak activity on 27th and 28th December.
Similarly, scattered to fairly widespread rainfall also is likely over plains of northwest India and adjoining central India on 27th and 28th December, Maharashtra and Gujarat on 28th December.
Apart from this, thunderstorm accompanied with hailstorms also likely over Northwest India on December 27 and 28.
Odisha Weather Forecast
Taking about Odisha, IMD informed that rainfall activities are likely to intensify from December 24, owing to the formation of a fresh low pressure system over the west-central Bay of Bengal.
Meanwhile, several districts of Odisha are experiencing sharp drop in minimum temperature and intense cold wave conditions for the last couple of days.
