Pre-paid and post-paid users of Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) can easily stop this coronavirus message tune on their mobiles.
For this, you have to send “UNSUB” To 56700 or 56799 from your number. Following this a confirmation message to stop your caller tune services will be received on your number.
How to Stop Coronavirus Caller Tune On Jio?
Jio users can stop the corona caller tune by sending “STOP” To 155223 from their numbers. Following this a confirmation message to stop your caller tune services will be received on your number.
How to Stop Coronavirus Caller Tune On Airtel?
Users can also stop the tune by sending “CANCT” To 144. Following this a confirmation message to stop your caller tune services will be received on your number.
Another way in which you can avoid this message is:
• Dial the desired number
• Wait for the coronavirus alert message to begin and as soon as the message appears, Press 1.
• As soon as the caller presses 1, the coronavirus caller tune will stop playing and the caller will hear the normal caller tune
The message was initiated by the Health Ministry to provide valuable information for avoiding coronavirus, stating that one must cover his/her face with a handkerchief or a tissue while sneezing or coughing. It also advises the callers to frequently wash their hands properly with soap and water and avoid touching their face. The message advises people to carry hand sanitisers. It also says to maintain a safe distance of atleast 2-feet distance from people suffering from fever, cold or cough.
Notably, Several people have vented their anger over this caller tune demanding that the government must stop this service on social media platforms.
However, the government is yet to make any official announcement in this regard.
