In a bid to help the farmers, two science students of Odisha have created a weather forecasting device which can predict the weather at a particular spot.
As anticipated on Sunday, Odisha’s capital city Bhubaneswar has recorded the wettest September as it witnessed a rainfall of 195mm during the period between September 12 (8:30AM) and September 13 (8:30AM).
The regional centre of the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a Yellow Warning over several districts of Odisha. Heavy rainfall is likely to lash many parts of the state in the next 24 hours.
For IMD, heavy rainfall is between 64.5 mm to 115.5 mm, very heavy rain 115.6 mm to 204.4 mm, and extremely heavy rainfall above 204.4 mm.
A weak monsoon condition is prevailing over most parts of Odisha. In the month of June, the state witnessed an average cumulative rainfall of 181.3mm.
Sunday afternoon, the Regional Centre of India Meteorological Department (IMD) informed that the south-west monsoon has covered the entire state of Odisha. The Met department informed that with the further advancement of South-west monsoon, the entire Odisha is experiencing onset of monsoon.
