While the anti-corruption wing apprehended Manas Dhal, a dealing assistant (junior clerk) at Pattamundai Block Education Officer’s office in Kendrapara for accepting Rs 10,000 bribe from a teacher, Badamba block junior engineer Bauri Bandhu Parida was caught by the sleuths while allegedly accepting Rs 30,000 bribe from a contractor.

According to sources, Mallik was apprehended by the officials of the anti-corruption agency while accepting an undue advantage from an assistant teacher for releasing of pay allowance and DA arrears, which were held up due to suspension.

As per reports two bank lockers of Mohanty and his wife at Bank of Maharashtra and Punjab and Sindh Bank at CDA, Cuttack were traced and searched by the vigilance team.

The court of Special Vigilance Judge, Bhubaneswar found the five guilty under Sections 13 (2) r/w 13(1)(d)PC Act, 1988 & u/s 468/120(B) IPC and sentenced them to undergo three years of rigorous imprisonment.

In a related development, the vigilance sleuths today raided the properties of joint director of mines Umesh Chandra Jena on allegations of possession of disproportionate assets.

As seen in the video, two persons are seen grabbing and tussling with a man in a red jacket. The two persons are seen holding the man and trying to pull out something. Suddenly, the man drops a piece of paper from his mouth.

The Odisha Vigilance sleuths on Thursday conducted simultaneous raids on the properties linked to Ajay Kumar Senapati, who works as an assistant engineer in (R & B) Division-II in Balasore district.

The RI allegedly demanded bribe from Khatu Kisan (Complainant) from Guruan village for submission of an enquiry report related to a land mutation case to the Tehsildar, Kuchinda for issuance of ROR (Record Of Rights /Patta).

The raids were conducted by one additional SP, three DSPs, 12 inspectors, 12 SI/ASIs and other staff including GST officials at 10 places in Ganjam and Puri districts.

The OAS officer has been identified as Narayan Sahoo, who has been serving as the Block Development Officer (BDO) of Khariar in Nuapada district. 

Odisha Vigilance sleuths caught Sanjaya Kumar Panda red-handed for allegedly taking Rs 18,000 bribe from a complainant in order to submit a case diary in a PR case.

The sleuths of the anti-corruption bureau on Wednesday conducted raids on the properties linked to Sangram Keshari Manihira, a forest range officer in Ujjalpur Forest Range in Sundargarh district. 

The sleuths of Odisha Vigilance on Tuesday raided the property linked to Nandi Kishore Nath, who works as a junior clerk in the office of Executive Engineer of Rural Works Division in Rourkela of Sundargarh district.

The simultaneous searches are being carried out over the allegations of amassing property disproportionate to his known sources of income.
