The docu-drama helmed by Amoghavarsha, features the last big screen appearance of the late filmstar. Fondly known as Appu, Puneeth Rajkumar had died last year of a massive heart attack on October 29, 2021. He was 46 years old.
After unveiling the Gandhada Gudi trailer lasting around two minutes, Ashwini Puneeth Rajkumar tagged the Prime Minister and tweeted: "Namaste @narendramodi, Today is an emotional day for us as we are releasing the trailer of #GandhadaGudi, a project close to Appu's heart. Appu always cherished the interactions with you & would have loved to share with you in person (sic)."
Responding to Puneeth's wife's tweet, PM Modi tweeted: "Appu lives in the hearts of millions around the world. He was brilliance personified, full of energy and blessed with unparalleled talent. #GandhadaGudi is a tribute to Mother Nature, Karnataka's natural beauty and environmental conservation. My best wishes for this endeavour (sic)."
Incidentally, Gandhada Gudi happens to be the name of an iconic Kannada film starring Puneeth's father, Late Dr Raj Kumar.
The MP had praised the late Music Maestro and stated that the dexterity with diction and languages and the ease of phonetics in them made Panigrahi unique. However, in place of late Pandit Raghunath Panigrahi’s picture, the MP posted the picture of renowned flutist Hariprasad Chaurasia. After the post triggered an outrage, the MP was quick to delete the post from his social media account. However, no comments have been received from Mohanty on the matter.
Panda took to Twitter to inform about the seizure of his helicopter and alleged that attempts are being made to handicap his movement around Odisha.
"A local cop from Puri has come to Bhubaneswar airport & 'seized' the hangar & the helicopter i fly... Clearly, facts have no bearing, & cops privately admit 'orders from 3rd floor' ...Brazen attempt to handicap my movement around Odisha, but they can't stop me," (sic) Panda tweeted.
https://twitter.com/PandaJay/status/1041732909080539136
Earlier, Panda had said that attempts are being made by the government to falsely implicate and drag him into controversy in connection with the incident.
"Saw newsreports today of a Seaplane landing on Chilika lake at 1.30 PM on Sat (15th). Am now getting info that Odisha govt authorities are trying to twist the facts & falsely implicate & drag me into controversy!" (sic) wrote Panda in a tweet.
https://twitter.com/PandaJay/status/1041715586995085313
Revealing his flying details, Panda tweeted "It so happens i had flown a *helicopter* on Saturday & at a totally different time! ATC records will show that: I flew from 8.45 AM over Rajhans-Puri-Konark & landed at Kendrapada at 10.28 AM... & I flew from Kendrapada at 12.50 PM, landing @ Bhubaneswar 1.30pm (sic)."
https://twitter.com/PandaJay/status/1041715868219015168
Panda further said a state government official filed an FIR citing media reports saying that a Seaplane landed in Chilika at 1.30 PM, changing description to helicopter. While the FIR says the Chilika landing was at 1.30 PM, Panda said he had already landed in Bhubaneswar by that time.

Meanwhile, another tweet with a letter purportedly from the Biju Patnaik International Airport authorities surfaced revealing the movements of the helicopter of Panda on September 15 and showed that the said helicopter arrived at Bhubaneswar at 13:26 (IST).
https://twitter.com/SunnyCuttack/status/1041745352913833985
Later in the day, Puri SP, Sarthak Sarangi informed mediapersons that "The helicopter had clearance for flying but there has been a violation of aircraft & wildlife acts. IMFA authorities have been called to know the details. Everything will be clear after investigation."'
On the other hand, reports of CM Naveen Patnaik's chopper flying over Chilika Lake when he went to inaugurate Swosti Chilika Resort doing rounds, have added fuel to the controversy. Moreover, sources questioned the double standards stating that Chilika is not in "no flying zone" list of the Civil Aviation ministry and if Panda is guilty of flying over eco sensitive zone, CM Naveen Patnaik also flew over Chilika a few months ago.
The saffron party alleged that Dhenkanal MP has insulted the tribal community by posting derogatory statements on social media.
"He has insulted the tribal community. The Scheduled Castes and the Scheduled Tribes (Prevention of Atrocities) Amendment Act 2016 clearly states that complaint can be lodged if tribal people are mentally and psychologically tortured in any platform. The constitution has provided me the right to complain and I have utilised it," Sishir Gamang, BJP leader said.
Responding to Gamang, Satpathy said that they are afraid of the truth. "I can't make them understand whatever I have tweeted about Ekalavya schools. Anybody can go through these tweets. They filed the FIR only out of fear as the truth came to fore," Satpathy told OTV over phone.
The parliamentarian on Thursday tweeted "School for Adivasis? Well, teach 'those' types how to shoot arrows, dance a dumb dance, make crude mats and all. Don't tell them nothing about computers, environmental & other sciences, languages, maths. No never. They are fit for jungle life", Tathagat tweeted.
He had further mentioned on his social media account, "Surprised most people unaware what curriculum these Eklavya schools are designed to follow! That's why maybe they are incapable comprehend irony. Pity them."
All the five minor children hail from Ganjam and were being escorted by three agents on a bus when they were rescued by a police team near Phulbani. It is suspected that the children would have been engaged as child labourers.

According to reports, one Amit Nanda had sent a tweet seeking intervention from Odisha police and Chief Minister Office after spotting the kids sleeping on the floor of the bus yesterday.
The Chief Minister’s office also responded to the tweet and directed senior officials of Odisha police to initiate steps for rescuing the minors.
“Appreciate swift action of State police to rescue 4 minors from bus. Sincere thanks to Good Samaritan @amitnanda11 for his prudence & help,” wrote Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik in a tweet.
The online protest was organised by state party President Sanjay Nirupam and author Sucheta Dalal and joined by prominent Mumbaikars, celebrities and civil society members.
"The objective of this protest is to build public pressure on the non-responsive BJP governments at the Centre and in state and to spur them to act on rising fuel prices," Nirupam said.
The "Tweet Morcha" was a follow-up of last week's series of street processions organised by the Congress, but lack of positive action from the government has agitated people further, he said.
"Mumbai has seen a consistent hike in fuel prices despite the price of crude oil decreasing internationally. While this has disrupted the budget of the common man, the Bharatiya Janata Party government has reached new heights of insensitivity as they decided to reduce the petrol prices by one paisa. This is not acceptable to the masses," he added.
The tweets, demanding a curb on the fuel prices at the earliest, were sent to the Prime Minister and the Maharashtra Chief Minister using #TweetMorcha and #CutFuelTaxes.
"The BJP government strategically froze the prices of diesel and petrol in Karnataka during the campaign before the May Assembly elections. However, the fuel prices have been witnessing a continuous hike since then.
"The government has been waiving the huge loans of the businessmen who fail to repay their loans but blatantly exploits the poor who reel under inflation for past four years," added Nirupam.
"It is a myth that fuel price hike affects the rich or the upper middle class alone. High fuel prices have an inflationary effect across the system. It increases transport charges and costs and this hurts the poorer people when prices of basic commodities and vegetables are impacted," said Dalal.
Hence, the entire economy suffers while the government has been levying a series of unreasonable charges of fuel. This is highly unacceptable, she added.
Saturday's protest was the second "Tweet Morcha" after the first one held last year against the unfair charges levied by banks on customers.
Following the Twitter protest, the RBI was forced to take action against the unfair trade practices of banks within 72 hours.
The cine-icon, 75, shares his thoughts on trolling and abuses on his blog.
"A concerned Ef warns me of extensive 'trolls' on the platforms and warns me to be discreet and attentive to what I may say on social media, for the ugliness of the disreputable, affects him, and he urges me to be of care," he wrote.
The "102 Not Out" star says he is aware about it, but chooses to avoid it.
"Yes, I care. Yes, I know of the abuse and yes, I wish they be of greater intensity towards me for then it forms an unattainable mindset for even greater achieving attention given to such translates into what the troller actually wanted - notice," he added.
The thespian says trolls provoke him to do better.
"I have no time for abuse... I have time for my work, for my Ef and this Blog... I do not have time to attend to abuse. I love it actually, for it provokes me to betterment. (It) provokes me to get bigger and vastly improve my self, my demeanour, my standing and my dignity," he added.
Big B says he is "grateful to them" for it "drives me better and longer with better enlightened mind"
"My love to all. And if any of you would wish to bring me abuse and falsehood, I shall welcome it with open arms," he added.
According to Obama, you must think before you open your mouth, you must ponder over before you tweet and should not allow the first thing that pops into your head to become your thought to the world.
"I have many more followers on Twitter than those who use the social media tool more often. We should be mindful of the power the social media tools have and must post after weighing thoughts carefully," Obama told the gathering at the HT Leadership Summit here on Friday.
Obama has 97.4 million followers on the micro-blogging platform while Trump has 43.7 million followers.
Taking an apparent jibe at Trump who is famous for introducing typos and spelling errors in his tweets, though without naming him, Obama said: "Remember your parents when it comes to tweet -- think first and post later. Before I tweet, I do spell check and use punctuation tool and don't forget to put period at the end of the sentence," Obama chuckled.
Trump, who has been tweeting round the clock, has grabbed global attention for typos and spelling errors, like "unpresidented act," "honered" or the most hilarious one "covfefe" (that meant coverage).
"Think before you tweet so that you do not need to delete it later," Obama told the gathering during a question and answer session with seasoned journalist Karan Thapar.
According to Obama, the habit of tweeting casually about sensitive subjects which may affect millions was not a healthy practice.
"Don't just say 'climate change is a hoax' on Twitter as it shuts all doors to debate, to evaluate for various stakeholders. It is difficult for a democracy to work in that situation. If you say it is a hoax then there is no way we can build bridges," Obama emphasised.
Trump has been issuing periodic statements, affirming his belief that man-made climate change is a myth.
"We need to do deep analysis with all stakeholders around the concerned topic and then evaluate it collectively. Don't just scratch the surface and tweet," Obama added.
On a question of how the media is becoming biased, Obama said: "This is part of a trend globally. In the US, Fox News and The New York Times have completely different viewpoints. If I watch Fox News, I won't even vote for me! The NYT is doing things in its own ways," Obama said.
"Our goal was to make this possible while ensuring we keep the speed and brevity that makes Twitter, Twitter.
"Looking at all the data, we're excited to share we've achieved this goal and are rolling the change out to all languages where cramming was an issue," the micro-blogging platform said in a blog post on Wednesday.
During the first few days of the test, many people tweeted the full 280-limit because it was new and novel but soon after, the behaviour normalised.
"We saw when people needed to use more than 140 characters, they tweeted more easily and more often. But importantly, people tweeted below 140 most of the time and the brevity of Twitter remained," said Aliza Rosen, Product Manager, Twitter.
Only five per cent of tweets sent were longer than 140 characters and only two per cent were over 190 characters.
In addition to more tweeting, people who had more room to tweet received more engagement (Likes, Retweets, @mentions), got more followers and spent more time on Twitter during the experiment.
"Japanese, Korean and Chinese will continue to have 140 characters because cramming is not an issue in these languages. In fact, these languages have always been able to say more with their tweets because of the density of their writing systems," the post said.
The average length of a tweet in Japanese is 15 characters, and only 0.4 per cent of tweets hit the 140-character limit.
But in English, a much higher percentage of tweets have 140 characters (nine per cent).
Most Japanese tweets are 15 characters while most English tweets are 34.
According to Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey, this is a small change, but a big move for them.
"The 140 limit was an arbitrary choice based on the 160 character SMS limit. Proud of how thoughtful the team has been in solving a real problem people have when trying to tweet. And at the same time maintaining our brevity, speed, and essence!" Dorsey had tweeted during the time of trial.
The 140-character limit has been around since 2006 and has become part of the product's personality.
According to The Verge on Monday, while updating its policies, the micro-blogging website also censored the "bisexual" hashtag under its adult content rules.
The biggest updates on the platform included abusive behaviour, self-harm, spam and related behaviours, graphic violence and adult content.
Angry Twitterati posted against the move.
"If you search #bisexual and click on photos or news there are no results. This is bi-erasure. @Twitter has done this. We exist," tweeted one user.
The updates last week were part of revamp to Twitter's policies surrounding online abuse.
Reacting to the latest controversy, Twitter posted: "We've identified an error with search results for certain terms. We apologize for this. We're working quickly to resolve & will update soon".
Earlier in October, Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey had said that the social media platform would take a more aggressive stance in its rules and its enforcement of them.
Dorsey, in his announcement which was a response to the #WomenBoycottTwitter protest, said that the platform would develop new rules for things like unwanted sexual advances, non-consensual nudity, hate symbols, violent groups, and tweets that glorify violence.
"The search for peace is an open-ended task, a responsibility that never ends and that demands the commitment of everyone," said his tweet.
His nine-language @pontifex account on Twitter has some 34 million followers, according to Twitter-tracking group Twiplomacy.
"In any situation where millions/billions/tens of Bs of items need to be sorted, need algos," Alex Stamos, Chief Security Officer at Facebook, said in a tweet late on Saturday.
Facebook uses algorithms to determine everything from what you see and do not see in News Feed, to finding and removing other content like hate speech and violent threats, ReCode reported.
The social network has faced criticism in the past for using these algorithms -- and not humans -- to monitor its service for things like abuse, violent threats, and misinformation.
"Nobody of substance at the big companies thinks of algorithms as neutral. Nobody is not aware of the risks," Stamos, a key player in Facebook's effort to understand Russian election meddling, said in a series of tweets.
The social network is currently facing intense scrutiny over the presence of Russia-linked ads on its platform during the 2016 American presidential election and along with Twitter, is set to appear before the US Congress on November 1 to testify.
Before pointing out the shortcomings of algorithms, Stamos suggested that journalists should try to talk to people who have actually had to solve these problems and live with the consequences.
Despite Stamos' outbursts on Twitter, Facebook is reportedly planning to make scrutiny of some advertisements more stringent before they are published on its platforms.
The social network is going to require ads that are targeted to people based on "politics, religion, ethnicity or social issues" to be manually reviewed before they go live, Axios.com reported.
Trump tweeted last weekend: "Just heard Foreign Minister of North Korea speak at UN. If he echoes thoughts of Little Rocket Man, they won't be around much longer!"
People wondered why Twitter did not remove the tweet that violated the company's rules.
Reacting to this, Biz Stone, Co-founder of Twitter, posted on Monday night: "Some of you have been asking why we haven't taken down the Tweet mentioned here.
"We hold all accounts to the same Rules, and consider a number of factors when assessing whether Tweets violate our Rules.
"Among the considerations is its 'newsworthiness' and whether a Tweet is of public interest. This has long been internal policy and we'll soon update our public-facing rules to reflect it. We need to do better on this, and will," Stone said in the post.
Later, a company spokesperson told Recode that Twitter's post was not confirming that Trump's tweet violated its rules.
"Just that 'newsworthiness' is one factor that is used internally to determine whether or not to take something down," the report said quoting the spokesperson.
Twitter has never acknowledged publicly that Trump has violated any of its guidelines.
CEO Jack Dorsey has also defended Trump's tweets.
"I believe it's really important to have these conversations out in the open, rather than have them behind closed doors," Dorsey had said in May.
In a large-scale experiment designed to analyse the spread of information on social networks, the researchers deployed a network of algorithm-driven Twitter accounts, or social bots, programmed to spread positive messages on Twitter.
"We found that bots can be used to run interventions on social media that trigger or foster good behaviour," said Emilio Ferrara, Research Assistant Professor at University of Southern California Viterbi School of Engineering in the US.
The study, published in the journal PLOS ONE, also revealed another intriguing pattern -- information is much more likely to become viral when people are exposed to the same piece of information multiple times through multiple sources.
"This milestone shatters a long-held belief that ideas spread like an infectious disease, or contagion, with each exposure resulting in the same probability of infection," Ferrara said.
"Now we have seen empirically that when you are exposed to a given piece of information multiple times, your chances of adopting this information increase every time," Ferrara added.
To reach these conclusions, the researchers first developed a dozen positive hashtags, ranging from health tips to fun activities, such as encouraging users to get the flu shot and high-five a stranger.
Then, they designed a network of 39 bots to deploy these hashtags in a synchronised manner to 25,000 real followers during a four-month period.
Each bot automatically recorded when a target user retweeted intervention-related content and also each exposure that had taken place prior to retweeting. Several hashtags received more than one hundred retweets and likes, Ferrara said.
"We also saw that every exposure increased the probability of adoption - there is a cumulative reinforcement effect," Ferrara said.
"It seems there are some cognitive mechanisms that reinforce your likelihood to believe in or adopt a piece of information when it is validated by multiple sources in your social network," he said.
The researchers believe that this discovery could also improve how positive intervention strategies are deployed on social networks in many scenarios, including public health announcements for disease control or emergency management in the wake of a crisis.
The animated GIF image Trump retweeted on Sunday compiled footage of Trump taking a swing on a golf course with footage of Clinton tripping and falling as she boarded a plane in 2011 as Secretary of State, reports CNN.
The footage is edited to make it appear as though Clinton is hit in the back with a golf ball before her fall.
Former Office of Government Ethics Director Walter Shaub, who has repeatedly criticised the administration about potential conflicts of interest before resigning in July, slammed Trump for the retweet and said he reported it to Twitter for violating the social media platform's rules of conduct.
"The President of the United States just retweeted a video vignette that imagines him assaulting his political rival. The man is unfit," tweeted Shaub, who joined the ethics office as a staff attorney early during the George W. Bush administration and was appointed as the office's director by former President Barack Obama.
This Twitter post was one of more than a half-dozen supporters' tweets the President retweeted Sunday before 8.30 a.m.

Dutta posted a picture on the social networking site showing rolled up towels against large glass doors.
"Putting our Wimbledon, US Open, Aus Open &French Open towels to good use!@Maheshbhupathi #MumbaiRain.Stay safe & indoors if possible folks!," Dutta wrote on Twitter.
To that, Bhupathi who won the Australian Open twice (both mixed doubles), French Open four times (two men's and two mixed doubles), Wimbledon thrice (two mixed and one men's doubles) and the US Open also thrice (two mixed and one men's doubles), shot back: "Are u kidding me !!!! "No one is born hating another person because of the colour of his skin or his background or his religion..." Obama tweeted Saturday night, quoting Nelson Mandela from the former South African president's autobiography "Long Walk to Freedom."
Alongside the tweet, Obama posted a picture of himself smiling at toddlers of different racial backgrounds, which was taken at a day-care centre in Bethesda, Maryland, in 2011 by then-White House photographer Pete Souza.
Obama also sent two additional tweets to complete the full Mandela quote, Xinhua news agency reported.
As of Wednesday afternoon, the Obama tweet has had more than 3.7 million likes, making it the most-liked tweet of all time. It also ranks seventh among the most retweeted tweets according to tweet tracking site Favstar.
The previous most-liked tweet belongs to pop star Ariana Grande whose response to a deadly bombing at her concert in England was liked 2.7 million times.
The August 12 post, Obama's first tweet in three weeks, came after deadly white supremacist violence erupted in Charlottesville, a historic college town, over the weekend.
Obama keeps one of the most-followed Twitter accounts, with 93.5 million followers while, his successor Donald Trump, a more prolific Twitter user, only maintains 35.9 million followers for his primary account.
While terming the decision discriminatory, Apple CEO Tim Cook tweeted: "We are indebted to all who serve. Discrimination against anyone holds everyone back. #LetThemServe".
In a series of tweets, Trump had said that after consulting his Generals and military experts, he decided not to allow transgenders serve in the US military as it would result in tremendous medical costs and disruption that transgender in the military would entail.
Soon after Trump's tweets, tech industry leaders late on Wednesday took to Twitter and criticised the US President for his call to prohibit transgenders in military services, using "#LetThemServe" hashtag.
Indian-born Google CEO Sundar Pichai took to Twitter and wrote: "I am grateful to the transgender members of the military for their service. #LetThemServe."
Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg posted on his profile that everyone should be able to serve their country, "no matter who they are."
According to Brad Smith, Microsoft President and Chief Legal Officer, "We honor and respect all who serve, including the transgender members of our military".
This is not the first time tech leader have sided opposite to Trump to speak openly against his decision. They have openly criticised him for his decisions like infringing upon LGBTQ rights, immigration, offshoring of jobs, encryption and banning immigrants from few countries to enter the US.
Last year Apple, Google, Microsoft and others tech giants slammed a North Carolina law that limited bathroom access for transgender people.
Earlier today, he accepted headlong a challenge by a West Bengal cleric's fatwa offering Rs.10 lakhs to shave off Nigam's head.
He hit back: "Today at 2pm, Aalim will come to my place and shave my head. Keep your 10 lakhs ready Maulvi."
Nigam kept his word and shaved off his head just prior to addressing a media conference at his residence where police had beefed up security after his tweets raked up a huge ruckus.
He appeared before the media with a clean-shaven pate, wearing spectacles and smiling away happily even as various Muslim groups and organizations protested and contemplated moving the courts against him.
He even addressed media and said: "All I wanted was to be considerate with each other like all the big countries in the world. Everyone has right to opinion. My opinion is that in temple masjid, gurudwara, loudspeakers are not religious necessities. It is not part of a religion, going on from years."
"When loudspeakers are installed in religious places, it is sort of a declaration that 'this is my religion'. Same goes for people dancing on roads drunk during religious processions. I am against that.
"I am very secular, I am not right or left wing. I stand in between. Most are right and left wing people but people in the middle are less. I've never had to make a speech like this. I just raised a social topic, not a religious topic," he added.
On Monday, a controversy erupted when Nigam lashed out as "forced religiousness" in India after being woken up the 'azaan' (Muslim calls for prayer) from a mosque near his home.
"I bow to Mahatma Phule on his jayanti. His selfless efforts towards social reform, women empowerment and education had transformative impacts," Modi tweeted.
Jyotiba Phule was born in 1827 in Maharashtra and belonged to the family of flower-sellers, a profession which gave him his surname.
He, along with his wife, Savitribai Phule, are remembered for fighting for women's rights and people of lower castes.
Phule is also credited with opening the first school for girls in India.

Panda stated that despite the allegation against one helicopter, three helicopters have been unnecessarily seized.
Earlier on Sunday, the senior leader, in another tweet had mentioned that the Director General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) is probing the alleged flying of one of his choppers over Chilika and neither the government nor the State police has rights to do so on aviation issues
Also Read: Govt has no rights to seal hangar, says Jay Panda on chopper seizure
The State government or police cannot seal the hangar based on allegations of violation of aviation rules since they have no authority to investigate the matters concerning aviation, Panda had said.
The response of the senior leader came after the Odisha government decided to deploy additional ODRAF and NDRF teams to assist the ongoing relief and rescue operations in Gajapati district that has witnessed extensive damage in the flash floods triggered by cyclonic storm Titli.
Hota said, “We cannot say whether Jay Panda flew over the restricted area but he had certainly taken permission and given us his flight plan.”
In the movement details of the R-44 helicopter piloted by Jay Panda, Hota mentioned that the operator had filled the flight plan and also obtained Flight Information Clearance/ Air Defence Clearance (ADC) from Military liasioning Unit MLU (Indian Air Force), Kolkata.
Through a press report, we were asked to furnish information on whether there was any movement of any aircraft over Chilika and we had provided only this information as per our limits, Hota stated.
As per the flight plan, the chopper should fly 500-ft above the ground level and with clearance they went out of the control zone of Bhubaneswar.
He added, “What happens is when the aircraft flies as low as 500-ft above the ground level, it is difficult to avail any data as we lose contact with the chopper after 10-15 miles according to the visual flight rules.”
However, in case of any emergency landing, only the persons in the chopper can contact the airport authorities. Again when they inch closer to the 10-15 mile zone, we direct them as per the air traffic if they can make an immediate landing or have to hold the chopper till the traffic is cleared, he said.
Panda’s flight took off from Bhubaneswar at 08:46 hrs and landed back exactly at 13:26 hrs, mentioned Hota.
However, this is contrary to the FIR copy filed at Marine Police Station in Arakhkuda which says the Chilika Development Authority had reported of a sea plane landing at 1.30 PM, while the airport authorities have cleared the air stating Panda had already landed in Bhubaneswar by that time.

Unperturbed by the debate around conflict of interest, Ganguly, who was seen in full flow, conducting training sessions as Delhi Capitals advisor, sat in the dugout during the IPL match at the stadium.
The former India captain had earlier clarified his stand on "conflict of interest" in his dual role as IPL franchise Delhi Capitals advisor while serving as the president of Cricket Association of Bengal.
In yesterday's match, Shikhar Dhawan found form with a 63-ball 97 and powered Delhi Capitals to a seven-wicket win over KKR. Chasing 179, Colin Ingram launched one down the ground to finish the game in style and deny Dhawan what would have been his maiden hundred in this format.
Coach Ricky Ponting was the first to stand up and applaud the big six from Ingram, and advisor Sourav Ganguly had a smile on his face.

Trump on Thursday celebrated the release of Robert Mueller's Russia report with a GoT themed tweet. It came after Attorney General William Barr discussed the report on Russian meddling in the 2016 election, stating that the special counsel found "no evidence of Trump campaign collusion with the Russian government's hacking".
In a mocked-up image with the title font of "Game of Thrones", Trump is seen with his back to the camera with mist and fog flowing in front of him. He is seen wearing a black overcoat, his wardrobe staple.
The words on it read: "No collusion. No obstruction. For the haters and the radical left democrats -- Game Over."
HBO fired back, reported variety.com.
"Though we can understand the enthusiasm for 'Game of Thrones' now that the final season has arrived, we still prefer our intellectual property not be used for political purposes," a HBO spokesman said in a statement.
The channel had earlier warned Trump against using the show's imagery last year after he used it to threaten sanctions.
"We were not aware of this messaging and would prefer our trademark not be misappropriated for political purposes," a spokesman had said.
In a tweet at the time, on the show's official account, writers added: "How do you say trademark misuse in Dothraki?"
While Trump went on to use the "Game of Thrones" reference with his message, the same was done in India amidst the ongoing Lok Sabha election season. The Election Commission, Press Information Bureau and Congress picked popular references from the fantasy series to connect with the people and express their views.
The Press Information Bureau (PIB), the publicity arm of the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, picked three major elements of the show -- Tyrion Lannister, Hodor and Dragon -- to create a montage and urged people to vote.
It features an image of Tyrion with the message "A very small man can cast a very large one", Kristian Nairn as gentle giant Hodor with "Not all heroes hold weapons... Some just vote" and the dragon soaring high with a message calling the Lok Sabha elections the 'Festival of Democracy'.
The caption read: "No matter how big or small one is, every vote has equal power. This Lok Sabha Elections, become a true hero. Go OuT and vote... It matters."
The show, which also stands for complicated political gambits, scheming and the backstabbing nature of people and finding love in troubled times, is also being used to take political jibes in India.
Congress took a potshot at Prime Minister Narendra Modi and other ministers of the Bharatiya Janata Party through a GoT reference.
Taking to Twitter, the party posted a photoshopped GoT poster, showing Modi as the Night King, the commander of White Walkers and the villain of the series.
Union ministers Rajnath Singh, Nitin Gadkari, Arun Jaitley, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and BJP President Amit Shah are also seen as villainous characters from the HBO show in the poster.
The caption read: "Spoiler Alert: When you play the Game of Thieves, you either lose or you bribe! #BJPGameOfThieves" -- with this they twisted the original line: 'when you play the game of thrones, you win or you die for their political motive."
The Election Commission of India (EC) also posted a poster "Got inked" -- showing a dragon in the background.
