The Railways has issued the said order to make way for safety-related modernisation work at Kharagpur Railway Station.
The trains will remain cancelled from February 1 to February 4, said the ECoR in an official release.
ECoR bound/originating & passing through trains that have been cancelled are as follows:
On Monday, the SCR announced that the passenger trains now stand cancelled till January 31, on account of the prevailing pandemic situation.
Denying that the move was prompted by large number of loco-pilots reportedly being Covid-infected, a railway official clarified that the cancelled services are unreserved trains. "In unreserved trains, possibility of Covid spread is more in comparison to reserved train services. That's why these 55 services have been cancelled" he explained.
On Friday, the South Central Railway (SCR) had cancelled as many as 55 trains covering destinations in the state's of Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, and Tamil Nadu. The passenger train services that were originally cancelled till Monday, January 24, now stand cancelled till Monday, January 31.
The trains include several trains plying from major stations such as Secunderabad, Tirupati, Vijayawada, Kurnool, Kalaburgi, and Chennai.
SCR comprises of the six divisions, of Secunderabad, Hyderabad, Vijayawada, Guntakal, Guntur and Nanded and basically serves the states of Andhra Pradesh, Telangana and some parts of Karnataka, Tamilnadu and Madhya Pradesh states.
The decision was taken by the East Coast Railways as a precautionary measure after IMD’s (India Meteorological Department) forecast regarding heavy rainfall and possible high wind speed in the coastal region of the state between 3rd and 5th December.
As per IMD sources, the cyclone is likely to move northwestwards, intensify further and reach near north Andhra Pradesh-Odisha coasts by the morning of December 4. However, the place for landfall of the cyclonic storm has not been established yet.

The Met Office has predicted a clear day ahead. "The morning was misty with shallow fog. The day will mainly be clear," an India Meteorological Department (IMD) official said.
The maximum temperature is likely to hover around 23 degrees Celsius. Visibility stood at 700 metres and the humidity was recorded at 100 per cent at 8.30 a.m.
The Railways cancelled 13 trains while 41 trains were delayed and four rescheduled due to fog in several parts of northern India.
The maximum temperature on Friday settled at 23.7 degrees Celsius, four notches above the season's average while the minimum temperature was recorded at 8 degrees Celsius, one notch above season's average.
With mercury at 5.7 degrees Celsius, dropping a notch below the season's average on Sunday night, hundreds of passengers braved the morning chill as they remained stranded for hours at the airport and Delhi railway stations.
"Delhi woke up to worst fog of the season. Most of the northwestern plains are in its grip. Day temperature will fall significantly," Mahesh Palawat, Vice President at Skymet Weather, said, adding the minimum temperature of 5.7 degrees was "lowest minimum of the season".
All the terminals at the Indira Gandhi International (IGI) Airport were packed with passengers, who drove on fog-covered roads to catch their morning flights.
The visibility which was 1,500 metres at 3.30 a.m. dropped rapidly to zero at 5.30 a.m.
The flight operations at the airport were halted for about five hours. However, the visibility improved as the late morning sun broke through the blinding cloud cover, allowing some flights to take off around 11 a.m.
A visibility of at least 125 metres is needed for a flight to take off.
Arrivals at the airport were also baldy hit as only some aircraft were allowed to land. Flights can land in visibility below 50 metres if pilots are trained in CAT IIIB -- which is Category Three.
The Northern Railways said over 50 trains coming to Delhi were running late and 20 were rescheduled. Some 15 were cancelled.
The Met Department said the shallow fog would continue throughout the region all through the day. The maximum temperature was likely to hover around 23 degrees Celsius.
Pollution levels in the capital also shot up. The Air Quality Index (AQI) at various places in Delhi fell to the "hazardous" category.
Many took to Twitter to share pictures of their areas covered by the blinding fog as the hashtag #delhifog was among the most trending topics on the microblogging site.
"I wanted to say Hello 2018 by clicking the sunrise, but with this fog I can't even see my reflection to say hello to myself," tweeted @virenrawat48, posting a picture of all haze.
It was a misty Monday morning here with the minimum temperature recorded at 9.8 degrees Celsius, two notches above the season's average. The Met has forecast a clear day ahead.
The maximum temperature was likely to hover around 24 degrees Celsius.
"The sky will remain mainly clear during the day with mist in the morning," an India Meteorological Department (IMD) official said.
The humidity at 8.30 a.m. was 69 per cent and visibility stood at 2,500 metres.
Sunday's minimum temperature was recorded at 7.8 degrees Celsius, season's average while the maximum temperature settled at 23.6 degrees Celsius, one notch above the season's average.
A Northern Railway official said, "Eight trains have been cancelled and over 69 delayed due to fog in several parts of northern India."
The official also said that it had to reschedule over 22 trains.
The cancelled trains include -- New Delhi-Varanasi Mahamana Express, Delhi-Azamgarh Kaifiyat Express, Anand Vihar-Mau Express, Sriganganagar-Delhi Intercity, Delhi-Fazlika Intercity, Delhi-Alipurdwar Mahananda Express and Raxual-Delhi Sadbhawana Express.
The Rejandra Nagar Terminal-New Delhi Sampoorna Kranti Express was delayed by over 24 hours while the Sitamarhi-Anand Vihar Lichavi Express was delayed by over 25 hours.
