The Indian Railways has decided to introduce special trains for devotees interested to visit the holy shrine of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi in Jammu and Kashmir this festive season.
However, in 2021-22 financial year, the Central Railways earned Rs 2.48 crore by offering various premises and rail coaches for film shooting, which is pegged to be the highest ever.
Coaches of seven trains have so far been set ablaze by protestors, officials said.
In a move to prevent and deal with incidents of crime inside trains, the Ministry of Railways has approved works for the installation of CCTV (Closed Circuit Television) cameras in all train coaches including EMUs and passenger trains.
