Foreign institutional investors (FIIs) were net buyers in the capital market on Friday, as they bought shares worth Rs 108.53 crore, according to stock exchange data.
Tech Mahindra was the top gainer in the Sensex pack, climbing 2.13 per cent, followed by Wipro, HCL Tech, Titan, Infosys, Bajaj Finserv, Maruti and Bajaj Finance.
Among the stocks, HDFC, L&T, SBI Life, Infosys, and Bajaj Finance were the top five losers in the morning session.

Stock Market Fall: Experts On NIFTY, SENSEX Decline
Asian Paints was the top loser in the Sensex pack, shedding 2.44 per cent, followed by Tech Mahindra, Wipro, Bajaj Finserv, Infosys, HCL Tech and Bajaj Finance.
Besides, the broader 50-scrip Nifty at the National Stock Exchange (NSE) opened at 17,044 points after closing at 17,176 on Tuesday.
"Nifty could take further direction post European markets opening, but likely to end in the positive for the day."
L&T was the top gainer in the Sensex pack, rising around 3 per cent, followed by Tech Mahindra, HCL Tech, HUL, Axis Bank and Bharti Airtel.
Infosys was the top gainer in the Sensex pack, rising over 2 per cent, followed by Tata Steel, HDFC Bank, ICICI Bank, Titan and IndusInd Bank.
After scaling a new intraday high of 60,476.13 during the session, the 30-share Sensex closed 76.72 points or 0.13 per cent higher at 60,135.78 marking its new closing high as well.
According to Gaurav Garg, Head of Research, CapitalVia Global Research: "We witnessed a correction in the market and an attempt to hold the level above the Nifty50 Index level of 17,600. Our research suggests that it is going to be crucial for the short-term market scenario to sustain above the 17,450-17,550 Nifty50 Index support zone."
The Sensex opened at 58,889.77 points from its previous close of 59,126.36 points.
After a volatile session, the 30-share BSE index ended 286.91 points or 0.48 per cent lower at 59,126.36. Similarly, the NSE Nifty declined 93.15 points or 0.53 per cent to 17,618.15.
