As per the local met centre, this developing system in association with a trough line that extends from Tamil Nadu to coastal Comorin of Sri Lankan will induce some rains over Odisha, especially in the southern districts. However, State's other parts will remain dry.
"The next five - seven days will not witness any amount of precipitation in Odisha," predicts the local met centre.
However, it added that there is a high probability of development of another low pressure in the Andaman region by November 3, and whose gradual movement towards north and northwest direction later may induce light rains in Odisha on November 7 and 8.
A well-marked low pressure has developed in the South-West Bay of Bengal which is likely to trigger scattered rains in the interior and south #Odisha in the next 2 days: Laxmidhar Sahoo, Duty Officer, IMD Bhubaneswar pic.twitter.com/SlVLcjT3Ln
