A snake was found stuck in the chassis of a car kept on the premises of a guest house at the Institute of Mineral and Material Technology in Bhubaneswar.
This washroom of a house in Lane-6 of Kapileswar Vihar, in Bhubaneswar's Palasuni area remained closed for 5 days. Not because there are no inhabitants, but rather a 4-ft long Bengal monitor lizard had occupied the toilet of the washroom scaring the family outside.
On May 20, as many as 21 cobra eggs were found in Delanga Block in Puri. The locals had contacted the snake helpline members, who recovered the eggs from the spot. The Snake Helpline members arranged for artificial hatching of the eggs. Out of the total, 20 eggs hatched while one.The snake helpline members then released the 20 cobra hatchlings into Chandaka forest area.
A snake with its head stuck inside a beverage can was rescued in Odisha. The snake was rescued in Chhendipada area of Angul district. The snake was rescued by the snake helpline members while it was struggling and writhing in pain. After rescuing the snake from the spot, the snake helpline member cut the beverage can and freed the snake. The snake was later released into a nearby forest.
