The smartphone will be launched at an event called "Unpacked" which will take place a day before Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2018 kicks off.
"We knew Samsung was saving the reveal of its next flagship smartphone for the MWC conference in Spain which officially runs from February 26 to March 1," The Vague reported on Thursday.
The South Korean tech giant has also posted a short teaser video on Twitter which focuses on the upcoming device's camera.
Following the company's tradition of launching two Galaxy S series flagships together, Samsung Galaxy S9 is expected to launch alongside a slightly larger model -- Galaxy S9+.
The smartphones are expected to look very similar to their immensely successful predecessors, the S8 and S8+ which came out in 2017.
A noticeable design change will be a redesign of the fingerprint scanner which was awkwardly positioned on Galaxy S8.
Samsung is reportedly shifting it to a more central position on the smartphone's rear side, which should make it easier to access.
"Samsung Mobiles has featured in TRA's Most Consumer-Focused Brands Report 2019 (CFB 2019), the third edition," said the report.
N. Chandramouli, CEO, TRA Research, said: "Consumers are speaking, and Samsung is listening. Focused on consumer-centric innovations, Samsung in the mobile phone category has pushed the technology limits and set impeccable standards creating deeper, stronger and resilient consumer bonds."
Cosmetics brand Pond's secured the fifth position, followed by auto major Honda in the sixth. Insurance behemoth Life Insurance Corporation (LIC) of India was ranked seventh .
Samsung Galaxy Note10 series will be available for sale with benefits of up to Rs 12,000 while Galaxy S10 series will be available to customers with benefits worth up to Rs 14,000.
Consumers purchasing smartphones from these two series can avail Galaxy Buds at a discounted price of Rs 6,990 with a consumer benefit of Rs 3,000 as compared to the retail price and Galaxy Watch Active at Rs 13,990 with a consumer benefit of Rs 6,000 as compared to the retail price.
Additionally, on Galaxy S10 series, consumers can avail an additional 5 per cent cashback through SBI credit cards along with instant cashback of up to Rs 5000.
On Galaxy Note10 consumers can get Rs 6,000 bonus over and above the exchange price of their phone or an SBI cashback of Rs 6,000.
Galaxy M31 is the newest addition to the popular Galaxy M series. Till date, the company has launched six models - Galaxy M10, M20, M30, M40, M10s and M30s - under the M series in 2019.
"We now bring Galaxy M31 keeping in mind the needs and aspirations of our young millennial consumers," Asim Warsi, Senior Vice President, Mobile Business, Samsung India said in a statement.
The smartphone will come in two memory variants, 6/64GB priced at Rs 15,999 as well as 6/128GB for Rs 16,999 and will be available at Amazon.in, Samsung.com along with select retail stores from March 5, 12 noon.
The phone is equipped with 6.4-inch super AMOLED display and features quad-camera setup -- 64MP Main Lens, 8MP Ultra-Wide Lens, 5MP Macro Lens and 5MP depth lens. There is also a 32MP front camera.
The device is powered with the Exynos 9611 upto 2.3GHz Octa Core processor and will run on Android 10 out of the box with Samsung's new One UI 2.0.
Additionally, the phone houses a 6000mAh battery with an in-box Type C 15W fast charger.
