Almost after a year-long freezing, hiring activity seems to have gathered pace across the IT sector in India. Top IT firms - TCS, Infosys, Wipro and HCL Technologies have plans to hire over 1 lakh fresh graduates across the campuses this fiscal. But many companies are struggling to get experienced candidates onboard.
Despite the challenges during the COVID-19 pandemic, IT jobs market is witnessing a strong hiring boom. Demand for tech professionals is rising across IT firms, non-technical or consulting businesses wherein companies are bolstering their workforce with skilled engineers. According to a report by a financial news portal, lucrative opportunities are plenty for certain profiles. Full stack engineers, data engineers, frontend engineers, developer operations, data scientists and backend engineers are in high demand and are commanding higher salaries.
According to a survey, employees of Indian companies can expect a salary hike of around 9.4% next year. As per a survey by Aon, Indian companies are likely increase salaries by 9.4 per cent, on an average, in 2022.
It seems as if the Central government employees are being compensated for having suffered a grim 2020. Ahead of the festival season, the employees will avail the much awaited double bonanza.
