However, there is no official confirmation by the RRB regarding the dates of examinations but it is being said that the RRB NTPC 1st Stage Computer Based Test (CBT) might be conducted by the board in October as the RRB is reportedly busy in conducting other recruitment exams like RRB junior engineer (JE) and RRB ALP Technician.
The candidates will have to undertake two computer-based tests (CBTs)- 1st Stage Computer Based Test (CBT) and 2nd Stage Computer Based Test (CBT) which will be followed by Typing Skill Test/Computer Based Aptitude Test (as applicable) and then Document Verification/Medical Examination.
The CBT will be for 120 minutes and there will be 150 questions. For details on section-wise marks and syllabus, you can check the official notification released by the RRB earlier.
The CBT 1 will have negative marking where 0.3 marks will be deducted for every wrong answer and the questions will be multiple-choice questions.
The Board might release the admit cards for RRB NTPC 2019 by the last week of September.

A total of 35,277 vacancies are notified for the recruitment out of which 10,628 are for level 12th pass while a total of 24,649 vacancies are for graduate degree holders.
The Railways will conduct the exam for the recruitment various posts under RRB NTPC (Non-Technical Popular Categories) which include Junior Clerk cum Typist, Accounts Clerk cum Typist, Junior Time Keeper, Trains Clerk, Commercial cum Ticket Clerk, Traffic Assistant, Goods Guard, Senior Commercial cum Ticket Clerk, Junior Account Assistant cum Typist, Senior Clerk cum Typist, Senior Time Keeper, Commercial Apprentice and Station Master in various zonal railways and production units of the Indian Railways.
The date for the release of admit cards of the JE 2nd Stage CBT has also been postponed and the new date for the same is September 15. However, the reason behind the rescheduling of the RRB JE CBT 2 exam is yet to be known.
Sources said, the Board is likely to activate the exam city and date intimation link for the second stage CBT today. The train travel pass for the selected candidates has also been made available at the official website of RRB from September 9.

The RRB JE CBT 2 2019 will be conducted for 120 minutes and the question paper will consist 150 multiple-choice questions (MCQ). The PWD candidates will be given an extra 40 minutes. There will be negative marking of 1/3 for each incorrect answer.
