Important Details
While re-engaging, medical fitness of the appropriate category shall be obtained from the designated authorities as per existing practices.
Monthly remuneration of a retired Sr. Scale Officer being re-engaged against the Junior Scale post be determined by reducing Pension from his/her last pay drawn (i.e. Basic Pay + DA) by the Officer in Junior Scale/Group ‘B’ just before the promotion to Senior Scale minus the pension of the retired officer.
In case the last working of the retired Senior Scale Officer, re-engaged, in Junior Scale/Group ‘B’ post, was during 6th CPC, then the corresponding amount will be worked out by applying 2.57 fitment factor and notional placement in the corresponding pay scale to ascertain corresponding 7th CPC pay.
Re-engaged officer shall be discharged immediately on joining of selected candidate(s) from UPSC or departmental selection or as per the recommendation of PHOD/CHOD concerned.
Suitability/Competency of the retired officer shall be adjudged before such reengagement by a committee of three PHODs.
The period of engagement shall be initially for one year and further extendable as per requirement.
The designation shall be Consultant (Mechanical)/ Consultant (Civil). The reengagement of the officer in terms of consultant shall not be considered as a case of reemployment.
12 days leave in a calendar year on pro-rata basis is admissible.
Re-engaged officer shall not be entitled for requisites such as HRA, CCA, Transport Allowance, Residential accommodation, etc. However, when required to travel in connection with official work – TA/DA admissible to regular employee working the same grade will be admissible.

Indian Railways will conduct recruitment drive for the Para-Medical categories. The Computer Based Test (CBT) for recruitment to 1923 posts of Para-Medical categories will start from today till July 21, 2019.
The examination will conducted in 345 test Centres in 107 towns and cities across the country.
Official sources said it is the first recruitment by Indian Railways in which reservation for Economically Weaker Sections (EWS) will be available to eligible candidates. Against 10 per cent of the total vacancies earmarked for EWS candidates, 4654 EWS candidates will be appearing in the Tests.
Moreover, the Computer Based Test will be of 90 minutes duration while additional 30 minutes will be given to Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBDs).
The tests will comprise questions from Professional Stream, General Awareness, General Arithmetic, General Intelligence & Reasoning and General Science. There will be multiple choice objective questions.
The questions of the test will be available in 15 different languages, including English and Hindi. The candidates can view the question in English and the language the candidate has opted as the medium of test.
A highest of 64,596 candidates from Uttar Pradesh have applied for the exam followed by Rajasthan (62,772), Maharashtra (38,097), Kerala (35,496).

The RRB had earlier invited applicants to apply for 35,000 posts under Non-Technical Popular Categories (NTPC) for both graduates and non-graduates in various zonal railways and production units of the Indian Railways.
Every correct answer will carry one mark and for every wrong answer, 0.3 marks will be deducted in the Computer-based tests (CBTs). The candidates who have chosen Traffic Assistant and Station Master posts will be required to give CBT examinations. A candidate has to score minimum 42 marks to qualify the exam.
This is applicable to all candidates irrespective of community or category and no relaxation in the minimum score is permissible.
Similarly, Typing Skill Test (TST) will be conducted for the candidates opting for the posts of Senior Clerk cum Typist, Junior Accounts Assistant cum Typist, Senior Time Keeper, Junior Clerk cum Typist, Accounts Clerk cum Typist and Junior Time Keeper.
The marks obtained in typing skill test shall not be added for making merit. Candidates need to score 30 words per minute in English and 25 words per minute in Hindi to quality the test.
Candidates applying for RRB Patna NTPC Exam will have to appear for two stages of exams- Computer-based test and skill test.
The result along with the cut-off is likely to be release by the end of 2019. The candidate, who qualifies these two stages of examinations, will have to appear medical test. The selected candidates will be called for verification of their documents. Following this, the final results will be declared and the candidates will be given postings based on merit list.

“Complaints were received from some candidates regarding rejection of applications on various grounds. These complaints are been examined. However, it has been decided to give further chance to the candidates who are still dissatisfied with the reasons of the rejection of applications.

The Board further informed students that the link will be active from August 17 to August 23 (11:59 PM). It also informed the candidates that the decision on grievance will be final and binding on candidates and no further chance of representation will be given.
Besides, the Board said that the final decision on the complaints received will be intimated to the candidates through SMS and Email by August 31, 2019.

Candidates took to the social media platform like Twitter to express their displeasure with the result and request the authorities concerned to revise the cut offs.
The candidates are of the view that those who have qualified (scored 50% and above) should be allowed to appear for the second Stage CBT examinations as the questions asked in the CBT 1 exam was totally non-technical.
Candidates have requested the Board and also Railway Minister Piyush Goyal to re-consider and revise the CBT 1 results. However, they said that the silence of the railway has disappointed them.
The Board had declared the results on August 13, 2019. Meanwhile, the Second Stage CBT will begin from August 28.
Several candidates took to Twitter and claimed that the question paper of RRB CBT stage 2 has been leaked online. He further stated that paper was leaked through screen short and PDF of both shift.
The exam was held on August 28, 2019. Official sources said that the exam is being conducted to fill nearly 13,464 vacancies for the various posts including JE, DMS, CMA, JE(IT) and JE (IT).
The examination of RRB JE CBT 1 was held from May 22, 2019. All the candidates who qualified in the CBT 1 of RRB JE appeared for RRB JE CBT 2 exam.
The Indian Express quoting, a senior RRB official reported that there is no paper leak and already Mumbai division has already filed an FIR.
Earlier, questions were raised on the selection process after candidates claimed that several aspirants who cleared CBT 1 were not selected for CBT 2.
Later, the Board had clarified that 2,02,616 candidates have been shortlisted which is 15 times the number of vacancies as per merit and RRBs are following the CEN as notified on December 20,2018.
The final decision was supposed to be notified by August 31 but now it has been postponed to be announced on September 6, according to the latest notification by RRB.
The candidates had complained that their application got rejected on the basis of photograph or signature not adhering to the prescribed standards, which they claimed was wrong. The candidates got a final chance to raise their objections against their cancellation of application between August 17 to August 23.
It is pertinent to mention that the delay in resolution of issues of application status is also leading to delay in the commencement of the selection process. The tentative schedule for the computer-based test for RRC Group D recruitment is September and October 2019 but Indian Railways is yet to announce any final date.
Earlier in February, Indian Railways had announced 1,03,769 Group D vacancies. The application process for which took place in the months of March and April.

Educational Qualification
Candidates applying need to have completed 10th class examination or its equivalent (under 10+2 examination system) with minimum 50% marks, in aggregate, from recognized Board and also should possess the National Trade Certificate in the notified trade issued by NCVT/SCVT.

Recently, in a written reply in the Lok Sabha, Railways Minister Piyush Goyal said that over one lakh government job aspirants have been empanelled by the RRB in the last three years.
“During the last three years, from 2017-2018 to 2019-2020 (up to March 5), a total number of 1,47,620 candidates have been empanelled for various Group ‘C’ posts (including Level-1) by Railways through RRBs and Railway Recruitment Cells (RRCs),” Goyal said.
He further said that three recruitment examinations against Centralized Employment Notifications (CEN) are in process to be conducted in the coming months.
