India on Friday revised the existing guidelines for all international arrivals in India in view of the rising Covid cases and the Omicron threat, to make seven days home quarantine mandatory.

According to officials, the first infected person arrived from South Africa on November 1 and the second one between November 15 and 20. The first infected person has completed quarantine and is healthy and the second one is also asymptomatic and all right, sources said.

The missing inmate identified as Narendra Bisoi belonged to Ghasapada village under Damadua Gram Panchayat in the district. He was quarantined at Luhagudi after his return from Andhra Pradesh on May 9, 2021.
