According to Jagannath cult researcher Dr Naresh Das, on the tenth day of Falguna Shukla Paksha, ‘Fagu Dashami’ is observed at Srimandir. 

Dwaraphita ritual was held at 7 am at Srimandir today and subsequently, devotees were allowed inside the shrine.

Foreign devotees can meet Puri Gajapati, Adi Shankaracharya and servitors. Then, they should not be debarred from meeting Lord Jagannath inside the temple, pointed out Lal.

A stone weighing around 2-3 kg fell from the roof area of Lord Jagannath temple in Puri. The incident has raised questions on the safety of the 12th century shrine and thousands of devotees visiting the temple.

A huge piece of stone had reportedly fallen from the same place last Sunday (October 23).
