In a memorandum to DGP Sunil Kumar Bansal, the BJP alleged that the ruling Biju Janata Dal (BJD) resorts to violence and creates tension to influence voters whenever elections come. 

While the police are yet to nab the attackers, the law and order situation in the district seems to be deteriorating.
