With the world yet to see light at the end of this never-ending pandemic tunnel, the state government has decided to strengthen the online education system in Odisha. Odisha Mass Education Minister, Samir Ranjan Dash on Thursday (June 17) informed that the government has launched e-pathshala and e-mulyankana programmes for the students.
Odisha is gearing up to begin classes for school students from June 21. The classes will be conducted virtually for students of secondary classes through live streaming on YouTube. As per the latest directions from the State government to all the District education officers, the live streaming of classes will happen from Monday to Friday.
Odisha witnessed its worst day since the onset of the pandemic with 47 deaths due to Covid-19 in the last 24 hours. This is the highest single day surge in fatalities ever witnessed in the state. However, the state also reported a steady decline in the number of daily cases with 4852 cases. The Test Positivity Rate of Odisha also witnessed a decline to 7.2 per cent from the previous 7.9 percent.
