Several parts of Odisha will experience rainfall, thunderstorm with lightning activity till August 13, a release issued by the IMD stated.

India Meteorological Department (IMD) said a low pressure area formed over North Bay of Bengal and its neighbourhood will bring heavy rainfall for Odisha till August 1.

Light to moderate rain or thundershower is very likely to occur at many places over the districts of north Odisha and at a few places over the districts of south Odisha.

Thunderstorm with lightning and gusty surface wind speed reaching 40-50 kmph very likely to occur at one or two places over these districts in the next 24 hours
