The minimum temperature is likely to be below normal by 3-5 degrees Celsius at most places in the next three days as northwesterly dry and cold winds are entering the State, the Met office said in its midday weather bulletin.
The cold wave condition is likely to continue in Odisha till January 30, informed the regional meteorological centre Bhubaneswar.
As per IMD, the minimum temperature (night temperature) is very likely to fall gradually by 3 to 5 degree Celsius during the next four days over several districts of Odisha
The IMD’s regional centre in Bhubaneswar has issued Yellow Warning for heavy rain, thunderstorm, lightening and hail for several districts for the next three days.
Rainfall may commence from January 10 at some districts of western Odisha, the weather office predicted.
Light to moderate rain or thundershower is very likely to occur at a few places over Sundargarh, Jharsuguda, Keonjhar during a 24-hour period from Monday morning, it added.
It may be mentioned here that this is the second time that Bhubaneswar has recorded 10 degree Celsius in the last three days. With this, the Capital City has recorded the fourth-lowest December temperature in the last 11 years.
The weather office predicted that dry weather will prevail over the districts of Odisha in the next few days.

In his weather briefing, HR Biswas, director of IMD regional centre, Bhubaneswar said shallow to moderate fog is likely to prevail in isolated pockets in the coastal Odisha districts and Mayurbhanj, Angul, Dhenkanal and Kandhamal districts.
Heavy rainfall is very likely to occur at isolated places over the districts of Bhadrak, Kendrapada, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Puri, Khordha, Nayagarh and Ganjam from September 25 to 26.
The Met Centre has issued red warning for Angul, Deogarh, Keonjhar, Jharsuguda, Sambalpur, Sundargarh, Bargarh, Bolangir and Sonepur districts for tomorrow.
