The agitating people laid the body on the road and staged a demonstration demanding Rs 50 lakh compensation to the next of kin. Protestors also demanded that the operation of the heavy vehicles should be prohibited inside the city after 6 pm.
While the strike has begun all over the country from Thursday, the members of Odisha Drivers’ Mahasangh will join the strike over the next two days after handing over their vehicles to their respective owners.
