The Niti Aayog report has placed Odisha on the ninth spot among all states in the country mentioning that it has 29.35 pc of population which is multidimensionally poor.
Niti Aayog has also been suggested to engage actively with external experts and build a knowledge pool that comes handy to various government agencies.
The programme focuses on six main themes-- health and nutrition, education, agriculture and water resources, financial inclusion, skill development, and basic infrastructure-- which have direct bearing on the quality of life and economic productivity of the citizens.
Both leaders reiterated that the Consumer Affairs Ministry should implement the draft consumer protection e-commerce rules at the earliest as they are in the best interest of the consumers as well as the traders of the country as it will not only ensure the best quality and price for the consumers.
