The story of the film revolves around the relationship between two siblings. Vicky Arora plays the brother in the film.
Verma says he had a great time shooting the film with Taapsee, who went through a training session to get the physical nuances of her character right.
"I narrated the script to her in Mauritius on the sets of 'Judwaa 2' and at the end of the narration, she asked me 'When would you like to shoot it?' She trained very hard for the film. We had a great time shooting, it was fun and quite intense too."
Asked why he chose Taapsee for the film, Verma said: "I had written this script around two years ago. I had watched Taapsee's film 'Pink' and worked with her in 'Naam Shabana'. I knew then that she would be perfect for the part."
Though the title of the short film is yet to be decided, the cast and crew finished its four-day shoot in Mumbai.
"Women's security is a concern that we all should collectively address. But security is not just important for women, it's for men too. It is not gender specific," Manoj said in a statement.
Manoj, who was last seen on screen in "Naam Shabana" with which brand Godrej Security solutions also got associated, added: "It's important that we should teach our younger generation to be alert, and to be prepared. There are men who are harmless.
"We all should always be vigilant and alert. That's how I lead my life and I urge my fans to do the same."
Manoj's film "Naam Shabana", which also features Taapsee Pannu and Akshay Kumar, is doing well at the box office. It is based on Taapsee's character in Neeraj Pandey's 2015 action spy thriller film "Baby".
Taapsee Unaffected By What Anyone Says
The actress while cleverly hinting at the remarks made by Chandel said that Kangana is a very good actress and that she is not at all affected by anything she says. The brutal tweet was made by Rangoli Chandel after Taapsee posted a tweet appreciating the movie of Kangana, “Judgemental Hai Kya?” sans any mention of the actress.
While replying to the media on “sasti copy” comment of Chandel, the “Pink” actress stated, "For me, Kangana is a very good actress, she was and she still is... But other than this, she doesn't affect me in my life. It doesn't affect me what she says. There are a lot of people saying a lot of things on my Twitter timeline."
Taapsee further added that even though she has never spoken to the “Queen” star, the latter is her senior and if ever they come face to face, she won’t mind greeting her with a hello. Taapsee is known for her natural performances in movies such as Naam Shabana, Pink, Mulk, Badla, Manmarziyaan, and Soorma. She was last seen in the film Game Over and will be seen next in “Mission Mangal” co-starring Vidya Balan, Akshay Kumar, Kriti Kulhari, Sonakshi Sinha, and Sharman Joshi.
