“The fraud is a super scam,” alleged legislator Mohan Charan Majhi, adding that he had raised the issue during the zero hour in the Assembly on July 20.
The BJP and Congress are now at loggerheads in Koraput district over the massive irregularities and misappropriation of rice meant for the midday meal scheme in schools.
The irregularities will run into crores, sources said. It is alleged that the officials looking after rice supply are involved in the scam in connivance with the supply agencies.
In a letter marked to the District Education Officers (DEOs), the State Nodal Officer of PM POSHAN directed them to change/replace the CRCCs of their districts and disengage the Data Entry Operators of MDM scheme at block level.
