A low pressure area likely to form over Northwest and adjoining Westcentral Bay of Bengal during next 24 hours. The IMD has predicted heavy to very heavy rainfall activities in different parts of Odisha till July 24, 2023.

A low pressure area is likely to form over northwest Bay of Bengal under its influence during the next 48 hours

A cyclonic circulation is likely to form over Northwest Bay of Bengal within 48 hours, said IMD.

According to the regional center of the India Meteorological Department, Kirmira in Jharshuguda district received the highest amount of rainfall.

The IMD has also predicted that heavy to very heavy rainfall over Uttarakhand and heavy rainfall over Himachal Pradesh and Uttar Pradesh is likely to continue during the next five days.

Active monsoon conditions likely to continue over Northwest, Central and West India during next three days. Southwest monsoon is likely to advance into remaining parts of the country during next 2-3 days.

The districts are Deogarh, Sambalpur, Sonepur, Boudh, Bolangir, Jharsuguda, Bargarh, Nuapada, Angul, Keonjhar, Sundargarh, Kalahandi and Kandhamal.

Earlier, the IMD had issued an alert for thunderstorms and heavy spells of rain in several parts of Odisha in the next three hours today.

As per the IMD, the low pressure area is likely become a well-marked low pressure area during the next 24 hours.

A low pressure area is very likely to form over the same region during the next 24 hours, said the IMD.

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has informed that a cyclonic circulation is likely to develop over southeast Arabian Sea around June 5.

IMD Director General Mrutyunjay Mohapatra said that as far as the forecast for the next five days is concerned, no warning has been issued for several eastern states like Odisha, West Bengal and Andhra Pradesh as of now.

As per IMD, it is likely to intensify into a depression over Southeast Bay of Bengal and adjoining South Andaman Sea around  May 9. 

As per IMD, a low pressure area is likely to develop over the same region by May 8, 2023.

As per IMD, a cyclonic circulation is likely to develop over Southeast Bay of Bengal tomorrow. Under its influence, a low pressure area is likely to form over the same region around May 7.
